Welcome to Our College

The Secondary Training College, Mumbai is the Premier Teacher Training College . The college was established in January 1906 as per the recommendations of Wood's Despatch of 1854 in the Bombay Presidency and strong steps taken by Hon. Viceroy Lord Curzon.The college is the pioneer in evolving teacher training methodology & new techniques of teaching in then Bombay Presidency and at present in Maharashtra State.

Previously the college enjoyed autonomous status and used to award its own diploma the Secondary Training College Diploma (S.T.C.D.) which was supposed to be very prestiogious one in those days. At present the college is run by Directorate of Higher Education Pune under the leadreship of Department of Higher Education Manatralaya, Mumbai. more...

Salient Features of the College
